Fundamentals
Stance, guard, footwork and the four straight punches, drilled slow and correct. No experience assumed. This is where every member begins.
Karol Bagh · New Delhi · Est. 2014
No mirrors, no music, no shortcuts. Wrap your hands, get on the bag, and get coached by people who have actually been in the ring.
The corner we built
Southpaw started in a leaking basement off Pusa Road with two heavy bags, a borrowed ring and a coach who refused to teach anyone a hook until their jab was honest. Twelve years on, the leak is fixed and the ring is ours — but the rule hasn't changed.
We don't do choreographed "boxing-inspired" cardio. You'll learn stance, footwork and the four punches properly, hit real bags until your shoulders learn the shots, and — when you're ready and only when you're ready — you'll spar under a coach who knows when to stop the round.
What you'll train
Seven ways into the sport, from your very first wrap to your first bout. Every session is coached start to finish.
Stance, guard, footwork and the four straight punches, drilled slow and correct. No experience assumed. This is where every member begins.
Rounds on the focus mitts with a coach reading and correcting every combination. The fastest way to sharpen timing, accuracy and defence.
Controlled, coach-refereed rounds once you've got the basics and the gear. Intensity matched to your level — you spar people, not egos.
Heavy-bag rounds folded into a boxer's strength circuit — core, grip, footwork and gas-tank work. The engine behind everything else.
A women-only room coached by Neha Rawat. Same technical standard, built to be the most welcoming session on the timetable.
An eight-week course for working professionals who want to actually learn the sport after work — from first jab to a friendly in-house round.
For members chasing amateur bouts. Extra rounds, film review, weight management and a corner team on fight night. Ask a coach to be assessed.

Inside the four walls
Three rings, a wall of heavy bags, a full conditioning rack and a floor that's seen a lot of honest work.
In your corner
Every class is led by someone who has boxed, cornered or both. No influencers, no scripts.
Founder & Head Coach
Former national amateur, 47 recorded bouts and the left hand that named the gym. Corners two of Delhi's ranked amateurs.
Pad Work & Technique
A cutman turned coach with twelve years on the mitts. If your timing is off, he'll have it fixed inside three rounds.
Women's Boxing & Sparring
State-level gold medallist who runs our women's programme and clears every member for their first supervised spar.
From the floor
“Down nine kilos, and for the first time I can actually throw a jab that means something. They coached me like it mattered from day one.”
“The women's class is the most welcoming room I've ever trained in and still the hardest workout of my week. Neha doesn't let you coast.”
“Walked in a total desk-jockey. Sparred my first controlled round in eight weeks because they only put me in when I was ready.”
