The Auction Rooms was founded in 2011 on a single conviction: that a fine property deserves an open, honourable sale — one price, one day, decided in the room and not behind it. From our saleroom off Connaught Place we have brought some of the capital's most storied addresses to the hammer.

We are specialists, not generalists. Our valuers know the difference between a Lutyens frontage and a later imitation, and our catalogue is written the old way — measured, researched and signed. When our gavel falls, the sale is clean, the title is clear, and the transfer is ours to see through.

How Bidding Works

Four steps to the hammer

Register

Complete a bidder registration and provide proof of identity and funds. You will be issued a numbered paddle and your reserve deposit is held in escrow.

View & Study

Attend a private viewing and receive the full lot particulars — survey, title notes and floor plans — so you bid on fact, never on hope.

03

Bid

Bid in the room, by telephone or online against the guide. The auctioneer opens near the reserve; the highest bid when the gavel falls wins the lot.

04

Complete

Sign the memorandum, settle the deposit and complete within twenty-eight days. Our conveyancers see the title transfer through to registration.
